01 · Origin
How StockKit Started.
I started trading daily and teaching what I learned on Reddit. A following grew. New traders kept asking the same questions, and I kept giving the same answers: don’t trade trash, learn one strategy well before adding another, take small reliable gains instead of chasing big ones.
Around the same time, I set up Roth IRAs for my young adult kids. I needed a clean way to tell them when to buy and when to sell, without texting them every hour. So I built a signal system.
The first strategy was simple: find high-performing stocks when they get temporarily oversold, take a 3% gain, repeat. High win rate. Frequent compounding. We called it Ram Jet. It worked.

Most of what’s marketed to retail traders is a transfer of wealth from the inexperienced to the professional. Brokerages profit from your volume. Newsletters sell hype. Course creators sell courses. And then there’s the Finfluencer economy: TikTok and Instagram gurus claiming $15,000 weeks, offering to teach you the secret for a fee, before they’ve shown a single verified trade.
I built StockKit because I was tired of watching new traders fall for it. Pay first, learn maybe, profit rarely.
StockKit is built on the opposite premise. The people who use it should end up wealthier than when they started.
That sounds obvious. It isn’t, in this industry. Most platforms profit from your activity regardless of your outcomes. StockKit only succeeds if our users do. Every alert outcome is logged in the dashboard, the free tier is fully functional, and the upgrade path is earned through learning, not pressured through sales.
My goal isn’t to build the biggest trading platform. It’s to build the one that leaves a real, positive mark on this industry: a place where new traders actually become successful ones, without paying a guru first.
